NLED Aurora Matrix

This application is obsolete, starting on NLED Aurora Magician v3.3.0 with device firmware version 3, all pixel controllers will support 1024 pixels in stand-alone.

This software is based on the NLED Aurora protocol and is similar to the NLED Aurora Control software. Except it is for use with a special firwmare distribution that supports a high number of addressable pixels in stand-alone and with live data control. The special firmware must be loaded to a compatible NLED pixel controller and then the software is used to upload color data using the NLED 'FilePlay' file format. The 'FilePlay' sequence files can be created manually or from software such as NLED AllPixMatrix, or using a few other methods. The NLED Aurora Matrix software allows the sequence files to be added to an index with parameters such as Speed, Play Modes, Transitions. That index of color sequences can then be uploaded to the compatible controller(with the special firmware), once uploaded the color sequences can be played and selected in stand-alone mode, no computer connection or data interface.

The special firmware and software only support the NLED color sequence modes of 'FilePlay', all fading and other color sequences are not supported. The special firmware has full support of NLED serial reception, NLED Aurora Comamnd Protocol - Live Control, and full Glediator support. Glediator support can only be enabled through the device configurations, and does work over the USB connection.

Currently the software and firmware support 1024 pixels for the Pixel Controller Electron and fewer for the Pixel Controller Ion. Almost all of the standard chipsets are supported such as WS2812, WS2813, APA102, WS2801, and more. All pixels are in a single strand, with very fast update(FPS) rates.

This software is released for free for personal and commerical use. Released under the MIT License. It is all open source and could be used for other projects, like a loader for Arduinos or something, feel free to use the software for anything you like. Firmware is proprietary to NLED and is closed source for now, but I would share snippets if requested.

For MacOS and Linux compile from source using Processing, it is very easy to do, nothing complicated.
